We stand at the threshold of a sacred moment, a moment when the echoes of time and the heartbeats of the faithful converge. On Holy Monday, April 14, 2025, as the light of Holy Week begins to shine, we are called to enter a space of deep reflection, of earnest prayer.
The National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA (NCC) invites our ecumenical partners, faith leaders, and people of goodwill to join in a24-hour prayer vigil rooted in the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:19–20: “Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (NSRVue).
These words are not merely a promise but also a call to communion and collective strength. There is power in our visible unity and in our shared longing for the redemptive love of God intertwined with justice to be revealed and fulfilled in our lives and in the world.
You can help us reach our goal of 24 hours of prayer by volunteering to lead a prayer. We will have a prayer offered every hour on the hour led by a representative from our ecumenical family.

For where two or three are gathered in God's name, there God is, and with God’s presence comes the promise of transformation. Let us pray with faith and with the expectation that our collective petitions will be heard.
